Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park, one of New Brunswick's most popular destinations, is home to the highest tides in the world. At low tide, you can walk on the ocean floor, explore the coves and get a closer look at the famous "flowerpot" rocks. Are you looking for adventure? Stop at Cape Enrage for a zip line ride or to rappel. Cape Enrage offers one of the most spectacular views of the Bay of Fundy from its towering cliffs.
A 30-minute drive north brings you to Bouctouche, a welcoming and captivating place that echoes Acadie's colours. A visit to the Pays de la Sagouine is in order! You will be swept back in time with the charming characters of the Pays de la Sagouine. Discover the Bouctouche dunes at the Irving Eco-Centre, with its boardwalk stretching several kilometers over the dunes.
Kouchibouguac National Park is located approximately 80 km from Shediac along the Acadian coast. You will discover beautiful sandy beaches, dunes and numerous bicycle paths. Bird watching is one of the park's highlights, as it is home to one of the largest colonies of terns and piping plovers. And don't miss the starry sky, Kouchibouguac was proclaimed Dark Sky Preserve in 2009 by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
The city of Moncton is only 20 minutes from Shediac. It is the perfect place for shopping, dining and microbrewing.
