Our Park rules have been put into place with the intention of providing an enjoyable family camping experience for you and your neighbours.

Absolutely NO RENTING of trailers allowed. Owners only should occupy trailer and site.

  • Quiet time:
    • From Sunday – Thursday is between 11 pm and 9 am; 
    • From Friday and Saturday (including Sundays on Holiday weekend) – between midnight and 9 am.


Children/Youth

  • MINORS (defined as an individual less than 18 years of age) must be supervised by parent or guardian who is liable for all damages to the property of other guests or property of the park.
  • Children must be on an adult supervised site by 10:00 pm.
  • Children are not allowed on the playground after sundown. Campers please use playground at your own risk.
  • Bicycles must be stored away at sundown.
  • Children should not play, wander between or walk around other campers’ trailers without their permission.
  • For safety reasons and as a courtesy to your neighbours, please have your children play in the playground field and not in the campground roadways
  • Pets must be kept on leashes.
  • Excessive barking will not be tolerated. If barking becomes an issue, we may ask that your dog wears a bark collar. Do not leave your pet unattended inside, especially if it tends to bark excessively or be disruptive to your neighbours. If you must leave your pet inside your trailer, please notify the office and leave a phone number where you can be contacted in case of emergency.
  • We are a "Stoop & Scoop" park, so have a baggie ready for your pet.


Driving and Parking

  • For everyone’s safety please DRIVE SLOWLY. We mean very slowly (and please advise your guests). Our speed limit is 15 km per hour throughout the entire campground. When driving in the Park; please be careful for children playing, pedestrians, and bike riders. Please obey all traffic signs.
  • Park in our designated parking spot or on your own site. No PARKING on Horizon Park roads and/or on vacant sites without prior office approval. We do have extra parking next to Vacation Village for rec. hall and visitors. Please do not park in front of Horizon Park’s shed next to the recreation hall.


Be Considerate

  • Please be considerate to your neighbours. They do not like loud music, loud cars, excessive noise, lights left on after you retire or unruly, loud pets. No firecrackers and/or fireworks are to be set off in the park. Do not take shortcuts through other campsites.
  • Washrooms and Laundromats are provided for your convenience. Please keep them clean and tidy.
  • Campfires must be contained at all times and fires are not to be left unattended. Fires must be extinguished before retiring for the night or leaving your site.


Garbage/Recycling

  • Garbage is to be put in plastic bags and placed in the dumpsters/bins provided. HOUSEHOLD
  • GENERATED GARBAGE ONLY is accepted in the dumpsters and bins.
  • Dead leaves and brush are to be placed in the trailer. Cardboard, propane cylinders, furniture, ashes, construction material and etc. are not to be placed into garbage dumpsters/bins.
  • We take pride in the cleanliness of our Park. Please do not litter. This includes cigarette butts! Empty bottles and cans are recycled for rec hall activities and are collected in special designated bins.


Electricity

  • Your electric usage is metered on your site; therefore, you only pay for what you use.


Leaving or Selling your Trailer

  • If you are leaving Horizon Park or if you sell your trailer, a reading will be done on your last day with us and you will be billed for your unpaid electric used. Also, if you decide to leave the park you will be billed for the electricity consumed.
  • It is important for you to know that your present site is not automatically transferred to the new owner. Inquire with one of the owners regarding continued availability of your site to a new tenant; also we will request an interview with the next tenants. 


Other

  • If you are not returning for the next season, we require that your trailer and deck/shed be removed by October so that we may make arrangements for future tenants.
  • It’s important that you ask permission before planning to build anything on your site (i.e. baby barn, patio, etc.) or if you have to dig or put stakes on the lot, in order for us to advise location of wires and pipes.
  • Please do not disfigure trees by cutting or nailing into a tree. Do not cut live or dead trees, branches or bushes. Contact the office if you notice a problem with a tree.
  • No tents allowed on RV sites.
  • Incoming seasonal RV trailers must be no more than 15 years old.
  • Reserving nightly sites for friends and family. We accept reservations for overnight sites/cottages. We do take request of certain sites/cottages; however, we do not guarantee a specific site and/or cottage.


Management reserves the right to evict or refuse entry to any person who has evidenced a disregard for the rules without a refund. Campers and their visitors agree to use the campground at their own risk. Please remember you are responsible for your guests and you must ensure they follow the Park rules. Management is not responsible for damage, injury or loss to persons, pets or property. We reserve the right to make changes to the rules, regulations and fees that we deem necessary.
